need advise on sql error 999 and 10054, only happens when you walk

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server] [DBNETZIB]ConnectionWrite(Send())

We are getting the above errors from sql 2000 SP3.
it only happens when people return to their workstations and the screen
saver has turned on.

Go to Control Panel / Power Options and set System Standby to Never.
The screen saver will continue to appear, but the network card should
not be turned off anymore.
